Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, I’ve always been drawn to music—seeking out every opportunity to participate, grow, and contribute meaningfully to both my own journey and the community around me.

A major turning point came in 2015, when I won the first season of Balageru (Ethiopian Idol). That breakthrough opened the door to a variety of showcases and performances, from intimate stages to large-scale concerts, allowing me to tour across my hometown and beyond. I’ve since released several music videos, explored diverse genres, and used music as a tool for community development and fundraising.

My path has also included trainings, workshops, and cultural and professional exchange programs that have deepened my artistry and perspective. Now based in Toronto, I perform with my band at concerts and festivals, continuing to build community through music and the arts.
